Terms of Service
The short version: we built Spendalyst to help you understand your money better. These terms explain how we work together to make that happen.
Last updated: April 2026
Agreement to terms
By using Spendalyst, you agree to these terms. If something doesn't sit right, you're always free to stop using the service.
What Spendalyst does
Spendalyst gives you a clear picture of where your money goes, with personalized insights and coaching to help you make more intentional choices. Think of it as a calm, supportive friend who happens to be good with money.
Spendalyst is not a licensed financial advisor. Our insights are educational estimates based on your transaction history, not professional financial advice. You are always in control of your own financial decisions.
Subscription and billing
- Your free trial lasts 14 days with full access — no credit card required upfront
- After the trial, choose monthly at $10.99/month or annual at $89.99/year (a saving of roughly 32%)
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel
- All payments are processed securely by Stripe
Cancellation
You can cancel any time with one click from your Settings page. No retention calls, no hoops, no guilt. When you cancel:
- You keep full access until the end of your current billing period
- No further charges will be made
- Your data remains available for export until your access period ends
Refund policy
If you cancel during your 14-day free trial, you will never be charged — that's a guarantee. For paid subscriptions, we do not offer partial-period refunds, but you retain access through the end of your billing cycle. If you paid for an annual plan and cancel within 14 days of the annual renewal date, email support@spendalyst.com and we'll issue a full refund.
What we ask of you
- Keep your account information accurate so we can help you properly
- Keep your login credentials safe — they're yours
- Use Spendalyst for your own personal finances
- Don't try to access other people's accounts or data
- Don't attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the service
Limitation of liability
Spendalyst is provided "as is." We work hard to keep things accurate and reliable, but we can't guarantee that our insights will be perfectly precise or that the service will be available 100% of the time. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Spendalyst's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
